Why suites
What makes WorldQuest a team hotel near ESPN Wide World of Sports?
Distance gets a team to the venue. Suites get a team through the week.
Separate bedrooms. A two-bedroom suite has a master bedroom with a king bed and its own bath, plus a twin bedroom with two single beds and a second bath. Players sleep in the twin room, parents in the master, and nobody is sharing a hotel room with a teenager who has an early game. A three-bedroom suite adds a queen bedroom for siblings, grandparents or a second family.
Team meals cooked in. Every suite has a full kitchen with pots, pans, crockery, glassware and cutlery, plus a separate dining room. Pasta the night before a game, a proper breakfast before an early start, and a cooler packed for the sidelines all happen in the suite. There is no restaurant on site, and for a week of games that is the point: you control what the team eats and when.
Uniforms washed in-suite. Every suite has its own washer and dryer with a detergent starter pack. Muddy kit goes in after the evening game and is dry by morning, without a laundry service, a laundromat or a bag of quarters.
The property is gated with controlled access and on-site security, which matters when a group of players is moving between suites and the pool without a parent on every doorstep. Self-parking is complimentary, so a convoy of minivans costs nothing to park for the week.
How a team block works
How is a team block usually organized?
Most teams follow the same pattern. The details, including deposit, payment schedule, cancellation and the date by which the block must be confirmed, are not published on this site; the terms are set out in your written quote.
- The coach or team manager submits the form. One person speaks for the team so the resort has one contact and one set of dates.
- The reservations team replies by email with a quote. It sets out the suite types proposed, the rate and the terms. Ask questions before you share it with parents.
- The manager confirms the block and collects a rooming list. One adult name per suite, the number of players and family members in each, and any requests such as keeping the team in the same building.
- Families book within the block. Each family is placed in its own suite and checks in on arrival under its own name with a valid credit card and government-issued photo ID. The minimum check-in age is 21, so an adult holds every suite.
- Changes go through the manager. A family drops out, a sibling joins, a bracket moves the dates. The quote states how late changes can be made; raise them early with the resort contact.
Brackets change
If your departure depends on how far the team goes, say so in the form. The reservations team can tell you what flexibility the quote allows for the final days, and it is far easier to plan for it now than to sort it out on the last night.

What does the form ask for, and why?

- The event name tells the team which week is in play and whether other teams have already asked about the same dates.
- Venue
- ESPN Wide World of Sports is 4.7 miles away. If your games are elsewhere in the Orlando area, name the venue so the team can confirm the location works for you.
- Arrival and departure dates
- Include a night either side if you can. Note whether the last night depends on the bracket.
- Players
- How many athletes are traveling. This decides how many twin bedrooms the block needs.
- Family members
- Parents, siblings, grandparents and coaches. Capacity is counted per suite, so the total headcount, not the number of players, sets the number of suites.
- Suites needed and notes
- If you already know the mix, say so. If not, give the headcount and the reservations team will propose one. Mention accessible-suite needs; accessible accommodations are limited and vary between condominiums.

Capacities are the resort’s published maximums: a two-bedroom suite sleeps 4 in 1,286 square feet, and a three-bedroom suite sleeps 6 to 8 in 1,535 or 1,547 square feet. Children count toward capacity. Some suites have a sleeper sofa; ask the team to note it on the block if a family is relying on one. Tournament week
What does tournament week look like from the resort?
- Getting to the venue. ESPN Wide World of Sports is 4.7 miles away, about an 8-minute drive. There is no resort shuttle to the complex, so teams drive, usually in convoy. Orlando traffic is heaviest around park opening and closing, so leave a margin at those hours.
- Early departures. Each suite has a coffee maker with a starter pack. Coffee is served in the lobby from 7 to 11am, and the 24-hour Corner Pantry has breakfast items, cold drinks and snacks for a team leaving before the kitchen is awake.
- Feeding the team. Have groceries delivered to arrive with you, or shop at Publix or Walmart about two miles away. The poolside Tiki Bar serves food, cocktails, beer and Starbucks® coffee daily from 11am to 7pm. Nearby restaurants include Logan’s Roadhouse at 3.1 miles and World of Food Trucks at 3.2 miles.
- Between games. The heated outdoor pool is heated seasonally to 80°F from mid-October through mid-March, with a hot tub, loungers and umbrellas. Private cabanas can be rented by the day at the front desk; pricing varies by season and availability. Happy hour at the Tiki Bar runs from 3 to 4pm for the parents.
- The day off. Walt Disney World® Resort is 2.4 miles away. A complimentary shuttle to EPCOT® and Disney’s Hollywood Studios® is included in the resort fee, subject to availability; reserve at the Concierge desk at least 30 minutes ahead. Shuttles to Universal Orlando Resort are $5.00 per person, per trip. Park tickets are sold at the Concierge Desk daily from 7:00am to 12:00pm.
- The last night. Check-out is by 11:00am. Luggage can be stored at the Front Office after check-out if the final game runs late, and a late check-out costs $100 and is subject to availability, not guaranteed.

Is there a minimum number of suites for a team block?
No minimum is published. Submit the form with your headcount and the reservations team will say what it can offer for your dates; the quote states any minimum that applies. A team of only a few families can also book each suite online through the booking engine and simply mention the team at check-in.
Can each family pay for its own suite within the team block?
That is the usual arrangement. The manager confirms the block, then each family takes a suite within it and checks in under its own name with its own credit card and photo ID. How families reserve and pay, and any deposit the block itself needs, are explained in the written quote rather than published here.
Does the resort run a shuttle to ESPN Wide World of Sports?
No. The resort shuttle covers EPCOT® and Disney’s Hollywood Studios®, plus a paid shuttle to Universal Orlando. Teams drive to ESPN Wide World of Sports; it is 4.7 miles away, about 8 minutes, and self-parking at the resort is complimentary for the length of the stay.
Can we cook team meals in the suite?
Yes. Every suite has a full kitchen with pots, pans, crockery, glassware and cutlery, a coffee maker and a separate dining room. You may bring your own food and arrange grocery delivery to arrive with you; Publix and Walmart are about two miles away. There is no restaurant or room service on site.
Where do we wash uniforms during the tournament?
In the suite. Every suite has its own washer and dryer with a detergent starter pack. The resort does not offer a laundry or dry-cleaning service, so bring enough detergent for a week of games; the starter pack covers the first loads.
Is the pool usable during winter tournaments?
Yes. The outdoor pool is heated seasonally to 80°F from mid-October through mid-March, and there is a hot tub beside it. The pool runs from a 3 ft shallow end to 5 ft, with loungers and umbrellas on the deck. Private cabanas can be rented by the day at the front desk.
How should coaches and chaperones be placed?
Most teams give coaches a two-bedroom suite as the team base, with the living room for meetings and the kitchen for the pre-game meal. Your own organization’s rules on adults rooming with minors apply. The minimum check-in age is 21, so an adult must hold each suite in the block.
