Booking it
How do you apply the ADV code?
- Check the calendar first. Count six months back from your arrival date. If today is on or before that date, you are inside the booking window for the offer.
- Use the button on this page. It opens the resort’s booking engine in a new tab with ADV already applied. Enter an arrival and departure at least three nights apart, plus adults and children.
- Or type the code into the engine. If you reach the engine another way, enter ADV in the promo code field before you search for dates.
- Choose the suite. Two-bedroom suites sleep four; three-bedroom suites sleep six to eight. Booking early usually means the widest choice of suite type for your dates.
- Read the rate rules, then confirm. Look for the payment timing, the change policy and the cancellation policy. Keep the confirmation email; it is your record of the terms you accepted.
If the engine does not show the rate for your dates, the simplest next step is to call the reservations team, who can tell you whether the dates qualify and whether another offer fits instead. One promo code applies per reservation; ask the team about combining offers if you also qualify for the resident, senior, military or AAA rate.
Timing
How far in advance should you book an Orlando trip?
For most families, earlier than they think. Orlando’s busiest weeks follow the school calendar, and three-bedroom suites are what larger families look for first in those weeks. Booking six months out does two things at once: it secures the suite size you want for the dates you want, and with the ADV code it takes 20% off the accommodation.
Book early when
- Your dates are fixed by school holidays, a tournament, a reunion or a conference.
- You need a three-bedroom suite or more than one suite together.
- You want the trip paid and planned so you can stop thinking about it.
Wait, or stay flexible, when
- Your dates could still move. Compare the ADV rules with a flexible rate first.
- You are inside the six-month window. Look at Stay Longer, Save More or the resident rate instead.
- You are watching a particular month. Set a rate alert and book when a rate you like appears.
Booking far out also gives you the longest run-up for everything else that needs reserving in Orlando, and some of those things fill early.
Order of operations
What should you book first when planning an Orlando vacation?
Work from the least flexible item to the most flexible. The suite comes first when you are using the advance purchase rate, because the six-month window is the one deadline that cannot be moved later.
- The suite. Lock the dates and the suite size with ADV while you are inside the window. Everything else can be arranged around a confirmed reservation.
- Flights or the drive. With the dates confirmed, book flights or plan the drive. Self-parking at the resort is complimentary, so a rental car or your own car costs nothing to keep on site.
- Park tickets. As a Walt Disney World® Good Neighbor Hotel, the resort can combine park tickets with your accommodation in a single booking through its Special Offers page. The Concierge Desk also sells theme park tickets daily from 7:00am to 12:00pm once you arrive.
- Dining reservations. Walt Disney World restaurant reservations are strongly recommended and are made with Disney directly on (407) 939-3463. Popular restaurants fill well ahead, so do this as soon as tickets are sorted.
- Groceries and the first night. Arrange grocery delivery to arrive with you, or plan a stop at Publix or Walmart about two miles away. The First Grocery Run List helps.
- Shuttle seats. These are reserved at the Concierge desk at least 30 minutes ahead, so they are a check-in job, not a booking job. The complimentary shuttle to EPCOT® and Disney’s Hollywood Studios® is included in the resort fee, subject to availability.

Is ADV the right code for a stay booked far ahead?
It is the only published offer that rewards booking early, but a stay booked six months out may also qualify for another direct offer with a larger saving. Because one promo code applies per reservation, compare before you choose. The table shows the published terms; the engine shows the total for your dates.
