Accessibility Features

Accessible suites are limited and vary suite to suite, so confirm features by phone before you book

The short answer

Accessible suites at WorldQuest Orlando Resort are limited, and features vary because each suite is an individually owned condominium. Contact the resort before booking on (407) 387-3800 or wqreservations@worldquestorlando.com to confirm availability and features. Service animals are welcome, each of the seven buildings has an elevator, and ground-floor suites can be requested but not guaranteed.

How do you arrange an accessible stay at WorldQuest?

Accessible accommodations at the resort are limited, and because every suite is an individually owned condominium, the features differ from one suite to the next. The reliable way to book is to talk to the resort first.

  1. Call before you book. Phone (407) 387-3800 or email wqreservations@worldquestorlando.com before you reserve, not after. The team can only confirm a suitable suite if it knows what you need before the booking is made.
  2. Describe what you need, not just “accessible”. Say whether you use a wheelchair, scooter or walker, whether you need a particular bathroom set-up, how far you can comfortably walk from the car, and whether anyone in the party has hearing, vision or sensory needs.
  3. The team confirms a suitable suite. The reservations team checks which suites are available for your dates and which have the features you asked about, and tells you honestly if none match.
  4. Have it noted on the reservation. Ask for the suite and the features to be written on the booking, and ask for the confirmation by email so you have it in writing when you arrive.

Confirm by phone before booking

Please call first, rather than booking online and asking afterwards, so the suite can be matched to your needs before it is reserved.

Checklist

What should you ask about before you book an accessible suite?

These are questions, not descriptions of what the resort has. Ask them about the specific suite the team offers you.

  • Getting in. Is there a route from the parking area to the building entrance and the elevator without steps or curbs? How far is it from the nearest parking space to the elevator?
  • Parking. Are there designated accessible parking spaces near this building, and can one be held for my dates?
  • Doorways and turning space. How wide are the doors into the suite, the bedrooms and the bathroom? Is there room to turn a wheelchair in the bathroom and beside the bed?
  • The bathroom. Is the shower one you can enter seated or in a wheelchair, or is it a tub? Is there a shower seat, a hand-held shower head, and support rails beside the toilet and in the shower?
  • Beds and furniture. How high are the beds? Can furniture be moved to clear a path?
  • The kitchen. Are the counters, sink and appliances reachable from a seated position?
  • Hearing and vision. Are visual alarms, a vibrating alarm or a hearing kit available? Are there braille or large-print materials?
  • The pool. Is there a lift or another way into the pool and hot tub?
  • Floor level. Is a ground-floor suite available for my dates? Which building is it in, and how close is it to the lobby and pool?
  • Equipment. Can the resort supply any equipment I need, or should I bring my own?

What the resort is still reviewing

The resort is completing a suite-by-suite accessibility review and will publish the details once they are verified. Until then, this page deliberately does not describe bathroom fittings, entry routes, door widths, accessible parking counts, pool access or hearing equipment as existing, because they have not been confirmed suite by suite. If a third-party listing describes those features, treat the listing as unverified and confirm with the resort directly. When the review is published, this page will be updated.

At the parks

What accessibility services do the Walt Disney World parks offer?

The Walt Disney World® parks publish their own accessibility services, separate from anything at the resort. According to the resort’s own guidance, the parks offer:

  • Wheelchair and ECV rental
  • Service-animal accommodation
  • Assistive listening
  • Reflective captioning
  • Sign language interpretation
  • TTY
  • Handheld and video captioning
  • Audio description
  • Braille guidebooks
  • Digital audio tours

Arrange these with Disney directly; the Concierge desk can point you to the right Disney contact and can be reached by call or text on (407) 858-8569 between 7:00am and 9:00pm. For getting to the parks, the complimentary shuttle serves EPCOT® and Disney’s Hollywood Studios® and is reserved at the Concierge desk at least 30 minutes ahead; ask the Concierge whether the vehicle on the day can take your wheelchair or scooter, because the resort does not publish vehicle specifications. Every Walt Disney World theme park is within 10 to 15 minutes by car, and self-parking at the resort is complimentary.

Sensory needs

Travelling with a family member with sensory needs?

Theme park days are long, loud and bright, and a single hotel room gives a child or adult with sensory needs nowhere to reset. Every WorldQuest suite has separate bedrooms with doors that close, a living room and dining room away from the sleeping space, and a private screened balcony or patio for a quiet few minutes outside. Routines such as familiar food at the usual time hold up better with a full kitchen.

A few general habits help. Plan park days with a midday return to the suite, which is realistic when every Disney park is within 10 to 15 minutes. Bring the items that regulate your family member, such as headphones or a weighted blanket, and ask for a ground-floor suite if stairs or elevators are a trigger, remembering that ground-floor suites are requested rather than guaranteed. Tell the reservations team what matters when you book; the more the team knows, the better the match.

Questions guests ask

Accessibility questions

Can I request a ground-floor suite at WorldQuest?

Yes. Ground-floor suites can be requested when you book, but they are not guaranteed because suites are individually owned and availability changes by date. Call (407) 387-3800 before booking, explain why the ground floor matters, and ask for the request to be noted on the reservation. Each of the seven buildings also has one elevator serving five floors.

Does WorldQuest have wheelchair-accessible suites and accessible parking?

Accessible accommodations are limited and features vary suite by suite. The resort has not yet published which suites have wheelchair-friendly bathrooms, level entry routes or designated parking, because it is completing a suite-by-suite review. Until that is published, the honest answer is that specifics are confirmed per suite by phone before you book.

Are service animals allowed at the resort?

Yes. Service animals are welcome throughout the resort, including the suites, the lobby and the pool area. Pets are not permitted. Mention the service animal when you book so it is noted on the reservation, and tell the Front Desk on arrival.

Is there an elevator in every building?

Yes. Each of the seven buildings has one elevator serving five floors. If an elevator matters to you, mention it when you book so the team can consider building position as well as floor level. Ground-floor suites can be requested but are not guaranteed.

How do I get a wheelchair or ECV at the Disney parks?

Wheelchair and ECV rental is one of the accessibility services the Walt Disney World® parks offer, alongside assistive listening, captioning, sign language interpretation, audio description and braille guidebooks. Arrange it with Disney directly. The Concierge desk, on (407) 858-8569 by call or text between 7:00am and 9:00pm, can point you to the right Disney contact.

Is this page the resort's accessibility statement?

No. The website accessibility statement, which covers the site itself, is at /accessibility/. This page is about the physical stay: how to confirm an accessible suite, what to ask, and what the resort has confirmed so far.
