Booking it
How do you apply the FLORID code?
- Use the button on this page. It opens the resort’s booking engine in a new tab with FLORID already applied. Enter your dates, the number of suites and the adults and children traveling.
- Or type the code yourself. Reaching the engine from another page? Enter FLORID in the promo code field before you search.
- Pick the suite. Two-bedroom suites sleep four; three-bedroom suites sleep six to eight. Both have a full kitchen, a washer and dryer, separate living and dining rooms and a private screened balcony or patio.
- Read the rate rules, then confirm. Keep the confirmation email and pack your identification with the credit card you will present at check-in.
One code per reservation
One promo code applies per reservation. If you also qualify for the senior, military or AAA rate, or you are staying four nights or more, ask the reservations team on (407) 387-3800 about combining offers or which single code gives the better total. Whether offers combine is confirmed by the resort, not by this page.
Driving in
Why does a suite suit a drive-in stay?

Residents have an advantage that fly-in guests do not: the trunk of the car. A drive-in weekend in a condo-style suite is closer to borrowing a friend’s place near the parks than to checking into a hotel.
- Bring your own groceries. Guests may bring their own food and alcohol. Pack the cooler at home, or use the kitchen’s full set of pots, pans, crockery, glassware and cutlery with a delivery from Orlando Grocery Express or a stop at Publix or Walmart about two miles away.
- Free self-parking, gated property. Self-parking is complimentary, and the resort is gated with controlled access and on-site security, so the car stays on site for the whole stay at no charge.
- Pack light, wash on site. Every suite has a washer and dryer with a detergent starter pack. A weekend bag each is enough.
- Room to spread out. Separate bedrooms, a living room, a dining room and a screened balcony or patio, so a family of four is not sharing one room for the weekend.
Check-in is from 4:00pm and check-out is by 11:00am, which suits a Friday evening arrival after work and a Sunday morning departure. Early check-in is sometimes possible for a fee, arranged and paid in advance through the Front Desk and not guaranteed. Late check-out is $100 and subject to availability; anything past 4:00pm is charged as a full night. The Front Office stores luggage after check-out if you want a last swim before the drive home.
The parks
How do resident guests get to the parks from the resort?
Most drive, because they have the car with them. The resort is 2.4 miles from the Walt Disney World® Resort entrance, and every Walt Disney World theme park is within 10 to 15 minutes. Leaving the car at the resort for a day is an option too.
| Destination | Resort shuttle | Driving |
|---|---|---|
| EPCOT® and Disney’s Hollywood Studios® | Complimentary, included in the resort fee, subject to availability; reserve at the Concierge desk at least 30 minutes ahead | Disney parking $35.00 standard, $50.00 to $60.00 preferred, per day (August 2026, subject to change); one pass valid all day at all four theme parks |
| Magic Kingdom® and Disney’s Animal Kingdom® | Not on the shuttle route | Within 10 to 15 minutes; same Disney parking |
| Universal Orlando Resort | $5.00 per person, per trip; ask the Concierge | 10.4 miles, about 18 minutes |
| SeaWorld® Orlando | No resort shuttle | 6.7 miles, about 17 minutes |
Full shuttle details, including how to reserve a seat, are on the Disney Shuttle and Getting Here page. Park tickets can be bought at the Concierge Desk daily from 7:00am to 12:00pm, or combined with your suite as a package through the Special Offers page.
The drive
How long is the drive to Orlando from South Florida or Georgia?
It varies more than people expect, so this page does not quote a figure. The time from Miami, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, Tampa, Jacksonville, Atlanta or Savannah depends on your starting point, the route, the day of the week and what Interstate 4 is doing when you reach Orlando. Traffic around the theme parks is heaviest at park opening and closing, so a morning or mid-afternoon arrival is usually calmer than one that lands at the same time as the fireworks crowd leaves.
The resort is at 8849 WorldQuest Blvd, Orlando, FL 32821, in the Lake Buena Vista area near EPCOT Center Drive. Any navigation app finds it by name or address; the coordinates are 28.3626, -81.5209. Once you are here, self-parking is complimentary for the whole stay, and the 24-Hour Corner Pantry in the lobby covers snacks, cold drinks and frozen meals if you arrive late and have not shopped yet.

Questions guests ask
Resident rate questions
Do Georgia residents get the same discount as Florida residents?
Yes. The offer is called FL/GA Resident Perks and the published terms cover both states: Florida and Georgia residents save 20% on every stay with promo code FLORID, booked direct. Bring valid identification to check-in. Residents of other states should look at the other direct offers, such as Stay Longer, Save More or the advance purchase rate.
What identification do I need to show at check-in?
The published terms say valid identification. Every guest also presents a valid credit card and a government-issued photo ID, such as a driver’s license or passport, at check-in, and the minimum check-in age is 21. If you are unsure whether your document will be accepted as proof of residency, call the reservations team on (407) 387-3800 before you travel.
Is there a minimum stay for the resident rate?
The published terms say the saving applies to every stay and do not state a minimum. Enter your dates in the booking engine with the FLORID code to confirm the rate is offered for the nights you want, and read the rate rules before you confirm. If the rate does not appear, the reservations team can check the dates for you.
How far is the drive from Miami?
The resort does not publish drive times from other cities because they depend on your starting point, the route, the day and traffic on Interstate 4 near Orlando. Plan with a navigation app on the day, aim to arrive outside park opening and closing hours, and remember that check-in is from 4:00pm.
Can I use the resident rate together with Stay Longer, Save More?
One promo code applies per reservation. For a stay of four nights or more, compare the FLORID total with the LOSPRO total in the engine, which gives 20% on four to six nights and 30% on seven or more, and ask the reservations team about combining offers. The resort confirms what can be combined, not this page.
Can I bring my own food and drinks from home?
Yes. Guests may bring their own food and alcohol, and every suite has a full kitchen with pots, pans, crockery, glassware and cutlery. You can also arrange grocery delivery to arrive with you. The welcome starter kit includes coffee, laundry detergent and dishwashing powder, and the 24-Hour Corner Pantry in the lobby covers anything forgotten.
Is parking really free for guests driving in?
Yes. Self-parking is complimentary for guests for the length of the stay, and the property is gated with controlled access and on-site security. Disney charges for parking at its theme parks, $35.00 standard and $50.00 to $60.00 preferred per day as of August 2026 and subject to change, so many resident guests use the complimentary shuttle for EPCOT® and Disney’s Hollywood Studios® days.
