Best Rate Guarantee

Direct-only rates, the resort fee already included, and a review of any lower rate you find

The short answer

WorldQuest Orlando Resort’s best rate guarantee rests on what the resort publishes: offers-page rates are available only when you book direct, and the direct rate includes the $20.00 plus tax resort fee. Found a lower rate for the same suite and dates elsewhere? Send it here and the resort’s reservations team reviews it and replies by email.

The short version

What does the WorldQuest Orlando Resort best rate guarantee cover?

A best rate guarantee is a hotel’s promise about its own direct rate: book with the hotel and you will not pay more than you would for the same room, on the same dates, through a booking site.

Every hotel writes its own version. Some promise to match a lower rate, some add a further discount, and almost all attach conditions: the comparison has to be like-for-like, the claim has to arrive within a set time after booking, and certain rates are excluded. Read the terms before you rely on any of them, at any hotel.

WorldQuest keeps its written commitment simple. Three things are published and you can hold the resort to them:

Direct-only rates The rates on the resort’s offers page are available only when you book direct.
Resort fee included The $20.00 plus tax per suite, per night resort fee is part of your direct rate. On third-party bookings it is collected at check-in.
The resort answers Reservations are handled by the resort’s own team, not an outside call center.

Found a lower rate?

Send it using the form at the bottom of this page. The reservations team reviews it against the same suite, dates and terms and replies to you by email. That review and reply is the promise; anything beyond it is confirmed with you directly.

Why prices differ

Why does the same suite cost more on a booking site?

It often does not, once you look at the total. The headline number on a travel site can be lower while the amount you actually pay is the same or higher. Four things cause the gap.

  • The resort fee is shown differently. Book WorldQuest direct and the resort fee is inside the rate you see. Book through a third party and the fee is collected at check-in, so it may appear as a footnote, a separate line at the last step, or not at all until you arrive.
  • Commission has to come from somewhere. Booking sites earn a commission on each reservation. A hotel can absorb that, price it in, or keep its lowest rates for guests who book direct. WorldQuest does the last of these with its published offers.
  • Different rate types get mixed up. A non-refundable rate, a package that bundles park tickets, and a flexible standard rate can all show up in the same search results. They are not the same product, and the cheapest one usually has the tightest terms.
  • Taxes, currency and rounding. Some sites show the rate before tax, some after. Sites aimed at overseas visitors may show a converted currency at a rate set on the day. Neither is wrong, but neither is comparable until you line them up.

The practical answer is to compare totals, not headlines. The next section shows how.

Like for like

How do you compare rates like-for-like?

A fair comparison holds everything equal except the price. Before you send a rate for review, or decide where to book, check each of these on both quotes.

  1. Same suite type. A Two-Bedroom Suite (sleeps 4) and a Three-Bedroom Suite (sleeps 6 to 8) are different products. Within the three-bedroom category, the 2-bath and 3-bath layouts are different too. Compare the same category.
  2. Same dates and same number of nights. Rates change by night and by season. Shifting a stay by one day can move the total. Compare an identical arrival date and length of stay.
  3. Same cancellation terms. A non-refundable rate will almost always undercut a flexible one. If the lower rate cannot be cancelled and the direct rate can, you are comparing two different promises. Deposit and cancellation terms for a direct booking are shown at booking and confirmed by the reservations team.
  4. Taxes and fees included. Add tax and the $20.00 plus tax per suite, per night resort fee to any third-party quote that leaves them out. The direct rate already includes the resort fee.
  5. Same currency. The resort prices in US dollars. A quote in another currency needs converting on the same day before it means anything.
  6. Same occupancy and inclusions. Check that both quotes are for the same number of guests and that neither bundles park tickets, transportation or other extras.

If the third-party total is still lower after all six checks, that is the rate worth sending for review.

Fees

How do you spot a resort fee before you book?

Resort fees are common across Orlando and they are the single biggest reason a cheap-looking rate turns out not to be. A few habits catch them every time.

  • Read to the final step. Many sites reveal fees only on the payment page, or in a “paid at property” note. Go all the way to the last screen before you compare.
  • Search the listing for “fee” and “at the property”. Amenity fees, destination fees and resort fees are the same idea under different names.
  • Ask what the fee covers. At WorldQuest the fee pays for the park shuttle (subject to availability and change), Concierge service, the 24-hour fitness room, the heated outdoor pool and hot tub, and a welcome starter kit of laundry detergent, coffee and dishwashing powder. Those are things you would otherwise pay for or go without.
  • Check who collects it. Direct bookings at WorldQuest include the fee in the rate. Third-party bookings pay it at check-in, so budget for it if you book that way.

Self-parking at the resort is complimentary for guests, so there is no parking charge to add on either side of the comparison.

Flexible or locked in

Is a non-refundable rate worth the savings?

Sometimes. A non-refundable rate is a trade: you give up the right to cancel or change, and in return you pay less. Whether that trade is a good one depends on how fixed your plans are.

It usually makes sense when

  • Your dates are tied to something fixed. A tournament at ESPN Wide World of Sports, a wedding, a convention at the Orange County Convention Center.
  • Flights are already booked on tickets that cannot be changed either.
  • The saving is large enough to cover the risk you are taking on.

It usually does not when

  • You are traveling with young children or older relatives and a last-minute illness is a real possibility.
  • The trip is months away and the saving is small.
  • Hurricane season is in play. Check what your travel insurance covers before locking anything in.

WorldQuest’s published offers are described by what they save, not by their cancellation terms. The Plan Ahead offer, for example, rewards booking at least six months ahead with 20% off stays of three nights or more. The deposit and cancellation terms that go with it, and with every other rate, are shown at booking and confirmed by the reservations team, so ask before you commit if it matters to you.

Published direct rates

Which direct-only offers are published right now?

These seven offers are the resort’s current published rates. Each is available only when you book direct. If a booking site shows a lower total for the same suite and dates than one of these, that is worth a review.

Rate review

Found a lower rate? Send it for review

Tell the reservations team where you saw the rate, the suite type, the dates, the total including taxes and fees, and the cancellation terms. A screenshot or link helps. The resort’s own reservations team reviews the rate against the same suite and dates and replies to you by email. If you would rather talk it through, call (407) 387-3800.

    Questions guests ask

    Rate and guarantee questions

Will the resort match a lower rate I send in?

The published commitment is that the resort’s reservations team reviews the rate you send, checks it against the same suite type, dates and terms, and replies to you by email. Anything beyond that is confirmed with you in that reply. The page does not promise a specific outcome, so send the rate and let the team look.

What should I include when I send a rate for review?

The name of the site, the suite type, arrival and departure dates, the number of guests, the total including taxes and fees, whether the rate is refundable, and a link or screenshot. The more of that you include, the faster the review, because the team does not have to come back to you for the missing pieces.

Does the review cover package rates that include park tickets?

Packages bundle accommodation with tickets, so a package total is not a like-for-like comparison with a suite-only rate. Send it anyway and say it is a package. As a Walt Disney World® Good Neighbor Hotel the resort can combine park tickets with accommodation in one booking, and the team can tell you how the two compare.

Why does the direct rate sometimes look higher at first glance?

Because it includes the $20.00 plus tax per suite, per night resort fee. A third-party listing collects that fee at check-in, so its headline number leaves it out. Add the fee and any tax the site has left off, and compare totals for the same suite, dates and cancellation terms.

I already booked through a travel site. Can I still send a rate?

You can, and the team will reply. Bear in mind that a third-party reservation is managed by that site, so changes to it go through them, and the resort fee will be collected at check-in. For future stays, booking direct puts the fee in the rate and gives you the direct-only offers from the start.

How quickly will I hear back?

Reviews are answered by email by the resort’s own reservations team. No fixed response time is published. If your dates are close or availability is tight, call (407) 387-3800 after you submit the form so the team can look while you are on the line.
